RAD 2019 - Rails to Trails (Sat. 27 Apr, 2019 8:00 am - 11:00 am)
Downtown Beautification - Wilmington Rail Trail
Volunteers will help with light landscaping, trash pick-up, weed whacking, vine pulling, and overall beautification of the historic railway site. The Rail Trail project is in partnership with Work on Wilmington as a primer project for further permanent changes to this downtown site allowing for more options for modes of transportation and reduction of traffic.
All volunteers must sign liability waivers at sign in.
Location and Directions: The rail line is located near the 3rd street bridge in front of community college parking garage. There will be signs to help you find the location.
Work time: 8:00 am - 11:00 am - Live radio Broadcast form BIG TALKER on location
Celebration Lunch: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: courtyard behind the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce

RAD 2019 - Greensboro Street Park- Gardening (Sat. 27 Apr, 2019 8:00 am - 11:00 am)
Greensboro Street Park Gardening
Volunteers will complete mulching and landscaping for a neighborhood park. Most supplies will be provided at no cost to the association though volunteers are asked the bring any additional tools to complete the work efficiently.

Work Time: 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Volunteers will plant individual sea oats in preparation and nourishment of Wrightsville Beach post-Hurricane Florence. Dune fencing will also take place to re-establish viable dunes before hurricane season.
Location and Directions: North End of Wrightsville Beach – Shell Island Resort
Work Time: 8:00 am - 11:00 am
Celebration Lunch: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: courtyard behind the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce
