This holiday season the American Red Cross has teamed up with CFR to help replenish the needed blood supply. 
Please schedule your appointment to donate blood by registering below.

Working Together to Fight Hunger

Cape Fear REALTORS® and Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard work together this holiday season to help feed Wilmington families in need. December 6, 2019, is FeedILM 2019, a day that brings attention to how REALTORS® can help combat local hunger, malnutrition, and food insecurity.

About Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard
 
Mother
Hubbard’s Cupboard serves those who are hungry in the Wilmington area through the distribution of emergency food. This service is provided by volunteers in partnership with the community, without regard to race or religion and with care to preserve the dignity of the individuals being served.

3 ways you can help:

  1. Give non-perishable items, listed below.  - One meal equals a little over one pound of food (19 oz)
    Drop items off at the Cape Fear REALTORS® office.

    Current Items needed:
    • * Healthy Soup
      * Cereal
      * Fruit
      * Canned Meat
      * Dried Beans
      * Canned Black or White Beans
      * Macaroni and Cheese
      * Personal Hygiene Items (shampoo, soap, tampons, razors, etc.) 

  2. Donate your time and volunteer   - One volunteer hour equates to roughly 15 meals provided.
    On December 6th you can donate your time at Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.   Click here to volunteer
  3. Donate $25 that will feed a family for 1 day. 

    Help us reach our goal of feeding a family for the 2020 year. CFR will match the first $1,000 raised.

The 2019-2020 General Update (GenUp) course presents information regarding:

(1) The Competence of Licensees and the broker’s duty to provide clients with skill, care, and diligence;
(2) Material Facts the categories of material facts, how to determine if a material fact exists, and the duties of both the listing and buyer’s agents;
(3) Property Inspections what they are and the broker’s responsibilities related to inspections;
(4) Wire Fraud common fraudulent activity in the real estate industry, and best practices for brokers to help protect themselves and their clients from fraudulent activities;
(5) Law and Rule Updates descriptions of updates to Commission rules that became effective July 1, 2019 and that will become effective July 1, 2020; and
(6) Licensing and Education review of various license categories and statuses, and how to attain and maintain them.

 

PLEASE NOTE: BIC's and BIC-eligible brokers will take the new BIC Update and a 4-hour elective and will NOT take the GENERAL UPDATE
