What's the hottest topic in today’s industry? Do you have ideas that would benefit the membership? If so, meet the Professional Development Committee (PDC)! This committee is responsible for informing you of the hottest topics, new trends and industry news as well as addressing your concerns and fulfilling your needs. They address any current issues that you would like to learn about including legal issues, continuing education, and general topics that will enhance your abilities as a REALTOR®.
"Topics are brought to us by the members and from that information we try to make it happen to meet their needs. For example, the Tech Fair was an idea that one of the members had, as well as the Legal Seminar on Home Inspections which is an ongoing issue," stated REALTOR® Carlos Braxton. The PDC is a member-focused committee that is here to cater to your needs with the support of WRAR. “We listen to what you have to say and we take your input very seriously. We work really hard to make that mission statement happen which is evidenced in all of the activities we do,” stated REALTOR® Vickie Osoria. While working hard to bring you new and useful information, the PDC enjoys the work that it does. By hosting these events, you are given the opportunity to make lasting friendships and invaluable connections. This committee is formed of old blood, new blood, all different companies, and offers a variety of different backgrounds that collaborate to make these events successful. Their focus is to promote and host events that will inspire new and seasoned REALTORS® alike to attend and reap the benefits. "We keep the members of our Association abreast of new things by bringing in National-level speakers," stated REALTOR,sup>® Wendy Shorter-Bridges, PDC Chair REALTOR® Recharge is the biggest event hosted by the PDC, they changed venues this year to accommodate more members and had excellent attendance of around 280 members.
